If you have travelled to the UK from mainland China, Thailand, Japan, Republic of Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia or Macau in the last 14 days and are experiencing cough or fever or shortness of breath - stay indoors, phone us on 0141 800 0840 or, if the practice is closed, phone NHS 24 on 111 informing them of your symptoms and your recent travel.  DO NOT LEAVE HOME UNTIL YOU HAVE BEEN GIVEN ADVICE BY A CLINICIAN.

Test Results

Please note that if you have a test of any kind performed in hospital, you must contact the hospital department directly for the results and not the practice.

When you attend the practice for a test of any kind you will be told how long you should expect to wait for the results. We will normally ask you to wait for 7 days before contacting the practice.

To find out the results of a test, please phone the surgery on 0141 800 0850 between 2 and 4pm, Monday to Friday.  Results cannot be given at any other time or on any other number.

Our administration team are not qualified to comment on results.  If you do not understand a result or have a question, arrangements can be made for a doctor or the Practice Nurse to speak to you.

Please always ensure that you follow up on lab tests and don’t assume that no news is good news.  GPs sometimes leave instructions for patients to be given to them when they phone up for their test results.

Please note that we do have a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection. In this respect we will only give out results to the person they relate to unless that person has given prior permission for their release or if they are not capable of understanding them.
